The late Dr. Hunter S. Thompson once described a group of people who were not the rich nor the people that worked for them (the ones that would say "Yes Sir" "What ever you say Sir" and crawl on there bellies just to keep there jobs). These were the average folk the ones that lived however they wanted and didn't care what the main stream or the world was selling. Thompson dubbed these people the Doomed in a Airport restroom interview with President Richard Nixon in 72 Thompson was disguised as a writer for the Washington Post.
In my favorite Comic Transmetropolitan the main character one Mr.Spider Jerusalem( A gonzo journalist for The Word newspaper) in his weekly columns writes to and about the people of city he lives in (Called THE CITY). These people are dubbed the New Scum(dubbed by The Smiler, real name Gary Callahan, is the presidential candidate who is elected at the end of the first story arc of the comic, in one of his overheard crazed rants)are the average Joe's of THE CITY.
Now what is the point of all this you say well it is that I have come to the conclusion that I am one of these type of people The Doomed/New Scum and such. One of those people who looks to the future with both disgust and hope, an ever changing optimist and pessimist.
